Function: useCall()

function useCall(): Call | null;

The current call — placed, ringing or up — re-rendering on every change to it. Once it ends it is still returned, its status final and its endReason set, until the next call replaces it; null before the first. The Call is one object for the life of a call, so the component re-renders but the object does not change: a child memoised on call should take call.status too.
